Simple Furniture, in polish Proste Meble, is a project of Jan Mirecki, a graduate of the Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The aim of the work was to create a project with the most effective use of plywood sheets in order to produce a great and functional design while generating less amount of plywood misuse. The design of the whole set is therefore perfectly inscribed in the plywood sheet which is piece of art itself.
Simple Furniture is a set of furniture for two people (bookshelf, table and two chairs). It is made from one type of material only – 18mm baltic birch plywood. To build it there is no need to use any tools, no glue or any other couplings. Because of that the furniture can be easily reassembled like a dimensional puzzle and stored completely flat – taking up only as much space as the dimensions of individual elements. The set is extremely durable – you can safely stand on a chair or put quite a few bottles and plenty of food on the table. This set is the real party king!
Due to the unique nature of the design, we recommend a natural oil finish.
Bookshelf: 127cm (height) x 105,5cm (width) x 39cm (depth)
Chair (2 chairs are included in the set): 90cm (height) x 46cm (width) x 49cm (depth)
Table: 73,5cm (height) x 95,5cm (width) x 117cm (length)
